Founded in 1985 and growing both organically and through acquisition, MRG’s portfolio of businesses includes Bishopsgate Specialist Installations and Logistics (“Bishopsgate”), and the iconic Aussie Man & Van and Anthony Ward Thomas storage and removals brands.

Mobeus VCTs initially invested £7.2million in MRG in a £24.7 million EV deal led by Mobeus Partner Richard Babington.

The catalyst for the Mobeus VCTs’ exit was the recently announced sale of Bishopsgate to the Elanders Group for £47.5 million.

MRG has seen considerable organic growth in recent years through its Bishopsgate division, as the trend to outsourced storage and logistics of large, difficult to move items has become mainstream. Meanwhile, the domestic removals and storage side of the business has continued to consolidate the market through acquisition across the entirety of the M4 corridor, trebling storage and removals capacity during Mobeus’s tenure as shareholders.
