Mobeus Scales Ski Solutions
Ski Solutions (www.skisolutions.com), the London-based luxury winter sports travel experts, has attracted over £6 million of investment from as part of a secondary management buyout.
Ski Solutions, which has achieved in excess of 20% p.a. growth over the last three years, aims to further scale its winter programme and bring its expert advice and concierge client service approach to the summer activities market. Mobeus is planning to provide significant follow-on funding for bolt-on acquisitions, to support the management team in its ambition to accelerate growth within the rapidly expanding activities and adventure segment.
With over 30 years’ experience of working with the leading ski resort hotels, chalets and resort partners in Europe and North America, Ski Solutions has a highly-trained team with first-hand, in-depth knowledge of the mountains and resorts it works with. This makes the company ideally placed to tailor bespoke ski holidays and advise on the best available option to meet clients’ requirements.
More recently, the company has kick-started its buy-and-build strategy and established its summer activities division with the acquisitions of BSpoke Tours (in October 2014) and Cycling for Softies (October 2015).
John Wimbleton, a travel industry executive with more than 35 years’ experience on the Group Management Board at TUI Travel plc, and more recently at Scott Dunn, joins as Chairman.
Mobeus has taken an undisclosed majority stake in the business, as part of the secondary buyout. This marks Mobeus’s fifth deal from its debut institutional fund and brings the sum invested to over £40m in just over a year.
Mobeus Partner Ashley Broomberg led the deal, supported by Danielle Garland.
